Chief Instructor
Juurai Martial Arts is headed by Andy Wilkinson (4th Dan Shotokan Karate) and assisted by Sam Wilkinson and a panel of JMA Black Belts
Andy has been a qualified Karate instructor since 1996 and has trained in Shotokan Karate, Jujitsu-based Kobujutsu, WTF Tae Kwon Do with additional experience in other martial arts including Kung fu, aikido, judo and tai chi.
Andy founded Renketsu Karate Club in 1997 and Ketsui Ryukyu Kobujutsu Club in 2007 (which was put on hiatus in September 2010). Juurai Martial Arts was created in 2008 to be a parent organisation for both clubs so we could provide a unified committee and framework for building toward the future. Both clubs are now being rebranded and will simply be known as Renketsu and Ketsui respectively.
Andy has attended courses and classes by senior karateka interested in naha and bunkai training across the UK as part of furthering his Karate and Kobujutsu training.
